Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and arrange tart shells in a muffin pan.

Whisk butter and brown sugar, then whisk in eggs, syrup, vanilla, vinegar and salt.

Divide optional raisins or pecans among the shells.

Fill each shell about two-thirds full.

Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until pastry is golden and filling is puffed at the edges.
