Step by step

Method

  1. 01

Czech dumplings are different: from yeast dough, from potatoes of different species, etc. They are formed in some way and boiled in water. I offer a recipe for potato dumplings made of raw potatoes with a sauce of squarks and onions.

  2. 02

Prepare the potatoes, flour, egg, onion and lard.

  3. 03

Grate or grind raw potatoes, squeeze out the excess juice, add the egg and stir.

  4. 04

Pour the flour. If you do this in a blender, then exchange sharp knives for plastic knives for dough.

  5. 05

It should be a soft sticky dough.

  6. 06

For the sauce, put the bacon on the squarks.

  7. 07

Add the panned onion and sweat it until soft on a medium heat, salt to taste.

  8. 08

Form sausages or just a flatbread about 1.5 cm thick from the dough and cut into pieces - future dumplings.

  9. 09

Cook Czech dumplings in boiling water, when they surface, they are ready.

  10. 10

Ready-made junctions mix with a sauce of lard and onions.

  11. 11

When serving, kiddles in Czech, sprinkle with fresh greens: onion feather, dill, etc. to taste.

Ready to serve

Serve the dish as directed and enjoy it while it is at its best.

Bon appétit — enjoy your meal!
