Step by step

Method

  1. 01

So, today we will prepare this simple, but very tasty classic dish of Belarusian cuisine!

  2. 02

    Wash and peel potatoes.

  3. 03

Grate the potatoes on a fine grater.

  4. 04

Onions grind with a blender or very finely cut. I do not recommend gratering, you will get only juice.

  5. 05

In a deep dish, mix crushed potatoes and onions, add chicken egg and flour. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir everything thoroughly.

  6. 06

On the pan to lay the dough is best with an ordinary tablespoon, slightly pressing it from above so that you get pancakes as in the photo. We will fry potatoes on each side for 3 minutes.

  7. 07

I fryed potato danks in a special pancake pan where there is no need to use butter. If you cook on a regular pan, just add 2-3 spoonfuls of vegetable oil.

  8. 08

Turn over and fry for another 3 minutes.

  9. 09

Classic Belarusian potatoes are ready. They can be served as an independent dish with sour cream or as a supplement to meat dishes.

Ready to serve

Serve the dish as directed and enjoy it while it is at its best.

Bon appétit — enjoy your meal!
