Step by step

Method

  1. 01

Cut the butter or margarine into pieces, add the sugar and rub it.

  2. 02

Add flour, cut the mass with a knife and stir with a spatula so that dough is formed in the form of a crumb.

  3. 03

Then quickly knead the sand dough. It is recommended to cool it for at least half an hour.

  4. 04

Roll the dough into a layer about 1 cm thick and cut it with molds into figures or (as often I do...) and leave it in the layer.

  5. 05

If you want to cook cookies with cinnamon, then combine 1.5 tablespoons of sugar with 1 tsp. cinnamon and mix them.

  6. 06

This amount is enough to sprinkle about half the layer.

  7. 07

Bake the sand cookies on a lubricated, laid with baking paper or silicone mat in a heated oven at 180-200 degrees 15-20 minutes, until golden in color. Then cut the warm sand layer into rectangular cookies. For cookies with a thickness of about 5 mm should be enough 10 minutes.

  8. 08

    Sand cookies are ready.

  9. 09

Cookies according to this recipe baked for years to tea, to coffee, to brut...
