Step by step

Method

  1. 01

For lean succotasha you will need: ready-made red beans, corn (boiled or canned), onions, garlic, Bulgarian sweet pepper, vegetable oil for frying, salt and spices, fresh parsley greens and, if desired, celery.

  2. 02

I used a variety of masala that I brought from India as spices, and it really transformed the dish. You can use spices to your taste, in the simplest version - it is ground peppers.

  3. 03

The composition of this masala includes (as I understood / translated): chili, coriander, cardamom, onion, black pepper, cloves, ginger, mango, cinnamon, bay leaf, garlic, nutmeg, salt, turmeric, flowers or petals of nutmeg ...

  4. 04

Soak the beans for a few hours and cook until ready.

  5. 05

Onions, red pepper Bulgarian and celery cut, garlic crush, a little roast and extinguish in vegetable oil, salt, add spices.

  6. 06

To the finished vegetables add beans and corn, chopped parsley greens.

  7. 07

Stir, stew together for a few minutes and the dish is ready.

  8. 08

Serve as a standalone dish or as a side dish to meat, fish and other main dishes.

Ready to serve

Serve the dish as directed and enjoy it while it is at its best.

Bon appétit — enjoy your meal!
